Virtual Classroom Expectations
Parents must NOT:
- Interrupt live instruction
- Speak through the student’s microphone
- Coach the student during assessments
- Appear inappropriately on camera
- Record any part of the class without permission
- Use class recordings outside of intended purposes
Maintaining instructional integrity is essential.
Home Learning Environment Guidelines
Parents should provide:
- A quiet learning space
- Minimal distractions
- Supervision appropriate to age
- Regular check-ins for younger learners
- Access to needed materials
Virtual Family Engagement
Parents are encouraged to attend:
- Virtual family nights
- Parent workshops
- SEL informational sessions
- Technology orientation
- Student celebrations
- Thrively strength showcases
