Performance Evaluation Framework

All employees participate in an annual evaluation cycle, which includes:

  • Goal-setting conference
  • Virtual and/or in-person observations
  • Review of student performance data
  • Review of Thrively SEL integration
  • Parent and family communication review
  • Professional conduct indicators
  • Mid-year evaluation
  • Final evaluation conference

Teacher Evaluation Components

Teacher evaluations may include:

  • Lesson planning quality
  • Instructional delivery (online and hybrid)
  • Student engagement and participation
  • Classroom or hybrid environment management
  • Assessment and mastery-based grading practices
  • SEL integration
  • Relationship-building with students
  • Family communication
  • Participation in professional development

Support Staff Evaluation Components

Support staff evaluations may include:

  • Execution of assigned duties
  • Professional conduct
  • Communication effectiveness
  • Accuracy of documentation
  • Safety and compliance adherence
  • Student supervision
  • Collaboration with colleagues

Coaching, Mentoring, and Support

Employees may receive:

  • Instructional coaching
  • SEL coaching
  • Classroom or behavior management support
  • Hybrid operations training
  • Technology training
  • Peer mentoring

Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)

An employee may be placed on a PIP if:

  • Performance declines
  • Safety violations occur
  • Documentation is incomplete or inaccurate
  • Instructional quality remains below expectations
  • Repeated parent or stakeholder concerns arise

PIPs include clear expectations, timelines, monitoring, and support.
