Progressive Discipline

Corrective action may include:

  • Verbal warning
  • Written warning
  • Formal improvement plan
  • Suspension (where permitted by HR policy)
  • Termination

Serious violations may result in immediate termination.

Grounds for Immediate Termination

Immediate termination may occur for:

  • Abuse or neglect of a student
  • Sexual misconduct
  • Serious safety violations
  • Criminal behavior
  • Fraud or financial misconduct
  • Data privacy or confidentiality breaches
  • Repeated insubordination
  • Failure to fulfill mandatory reporting obligations

Voluntary Separation

Employees who resign must:

  • Provide written notice
  • Participate in an exit process if requested
  • Return all school property
  • Relinquish system access
  • Support an orderly transition of duties

Post-Employment Obligations

Former employees must:

  • Maintain confidentiality of student and school information
  • Refrain from representing themselves as school staff
  • Avoid unauthorized use of proprietary materials
