Where we are today. AI Edge Academy has applied to be listed as an Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) participating school and is setting up scholarship partners for our students. Businesses and individuals who want to support our students in the next tax credit year can contact us now, and we will guide you when giving is open.

How it works

Your gift goes to an approved scholarship organization. The organization gives scholarships to families, and families use them for tuition at the school they choose. Pennsylvania gives you a tax credit.

1

Apply for the credit

A business applies to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Individuals join a special purpose entity that applies for its members.

2

Give to a scholarship organization

After approval, the gift is made within 60 days to an approved scholarship organization, for scholarships to AI Edge Academy students.

3

Receive your tax credit

75% of your gift for a one-year commitment, or 90% each year when you commit to two years in a row.

Businesses

For businesses

Companies that pay Pennsylvania business taxes
  1. Apply online through DCED. Applications from new businesses open July 1 each year, first come, first served.
  2. Choose EITC, OSTC, or both, and the scholarship organization that serves our students.
  3. After the approval letter, make the gift within 60 days.
  4. Commit for two years to raise your credit from 75% to 90%.

Contact us before July 1 and we will walk you through each step.

Individuals

For individuals and families

People who pay Pennsylvania personal income tax
  1. Join a special purpose entity, a group that applies for the tax credit for its members.
  2. Commit to give for two years in a row.
  3. Receive a Pennsylvania tax credit for 90% of your gift each year.

Each special purpose entity sets its own requirements, such as minimum gift and income. We will connect you with one.

Yes, through a scholarship organization that serves our students. Contact us and we will guide you.

When do I need to act?
