All employees participate in an annual evaluation cycle, which includes:
- Goal-setting conference
- Virtual and/or in-person observations
- Review of student performance data
- Review of Thrively SEL integration
- Parent and family communication review
- Professional conduct indicators
- Mid-year evaluation
- Final evaluation conference
Teacher Evaluation Components
Teacher evaluations may include:
- Lesson planning quality
- Instructional delivery (online and hybrid)
- Student engagement and participation
- Classroom or hybrid environment management
- Assessment and mastery-based grading practices
- SEL integration
- Relationship-building with students
- Family communication
- Participation in professional development
Support Staff Evaluation Components
Support staff evaluations may include:
- Execution of assigned duties
- Professional conduct
- Communication effectiveness
- Accuracy of documentation
- Safety and compliance adherence
- Student supervision
- Collaboration with colleagues
Coaching, Mentoring, and Support
Employees may receive:
- Instructional coaching
- SEL coaching
- Classroom or behavior management support
- Hybrid operations training
- Technology training
- Peer mentoring
Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)
An employee may be placed on a PIP if:
- Performance declines
- Safety violations occur
- Documentation is incomplete or inaccurate
- Instructional quality remains below expectations
- Repeated parent or stakeholder concerns arise
PIPs include clear expectations, timelines, monitoring, and support.
