HYBRID ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Physical Accessibility
Hybrid learning centers are designed to meet ADA standards and may include:
- Wheelchair-accessible spaces
- ADA-compliant restrooms and exits
- Accessible seating and tables
- Quiet work areas and sensory-friendly environments
- Noise-reducing tools and break spaces
Behavioral & Safety Expectations
Hybrid participation requires that students can safely engage without:
- Continuous one-to-one supervision (unless privately funded)
- Medical care beyond staff training
- Interventions exceeding staff capacity
Staff implement consistent routines, positive behavior supports, and restorative practices. If safety concerns arise, the SST may modify or suspend hybrid participation.
Transition Adjustments
SSPs may be adjusted when students transition between online and hybrid settings due to readiness, medical needs, or social-emotional considerations.
