STUDENT DEVICE EXPECTATIONS
Device Care and Responsibility
Students are expected to use School-issued devices responsibly and in accordance with School rules.
- Devices must be handled with care.
- Technical issues or security concerns must be reported promptly.
Device Insurance Program
- Participation in the School’s device insurance program is required unless equivalent third-party insurance is provided.
- Coverage includes accidental damage, manufacturer defects, and basic repairs.
- Coverage excludes loss, theft, intentional damage, and negligence.
- Families may be financially responsible for uncovered damages.
Device Check-In and Check-Out
- Students must complete a digital device loan agreement prior to issuance.
- Devices are subject to inspection at check-out and return.
- Devices must be returned at the end of the academic year or upon withdrawal.
- Charges may apply for damaged or unreturned devices.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Devices
- Incidents must be reported within 24 hours.
- Stolen devices require a police report.
- Applicable deductibles or replacement costs may be assessed.
- Failure to report may result in full replacement charges.
Webcam and Microphone Use
During virtual instruction, students shall:
- Mute microphones when not speaking.
- Present themselves appropriately on camera.
- Use School-approved virtual backgrounds when required.
Teachers may disable audio or video for instructional or classroom management purposes.
