Remote vs. Hybrid Staff
The School hires personnel for:
- Virtual instructional roles
- Hybrid center instructional or support roles
All hiring decisions must:
- Align with state certification rules (where applicable)
- Verify required skills for online instruction
- Ensure background and qualification verification
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Follow non-discrimination policies
Technology & Work Environment Expectations
Staff—whether remote or hybrid—must have:
- Reliable, highspeed internet
- A distractionfree workspace
- A computer meeting School specifications
- A webcam and microphone
- A secure place to handle student records
Remote staff must maintain professionalism during virtual work hours.
Leave Classifications
Employees are entitled to applicable state and School leave categories, including:
- Sick leave
- Personal leave
- Bereavement leave
- Family and medical leave (FMLA, if applicable)
- Jury duty leave
Leave requests must be submitted through the School’s online system.
