Digital Accessibility

The School follows best practices in online accessibility and designs digital learning environments informed by WCAG 2.1 standards where feasible. Supports may include:

  • Screen-reader compatibility
  • Captioning options (when available)
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Color-contrast compliance
  • Alt text for images (where appropriate)
  • Accessible assessments

Online Academic Accommodations

Possible accommodations include:

  • Extended time on assignments and assessments
  • Recorded lessons
  • Modified workloads
  • Reduced distractions
  • Assistive technology tools
  • Accessible formats and visual schedules
  • Speech-to-text and text-to-speech tools

Instructional & SEL Supports

Teachers are expected to use multimodal instruction, clear expectations, scaffolded supports, and alternative demonstrations of mastery. Behavioral and SEL supports may include check-ins, SEL lessons, coaching sessions, and positive reinforcement systems.
