- Model respectful, ethical behavior
- Protect student confidentiality at all times
- Adhere to online, hybrid, and physical safety procedures
- Avoid conflicts of interest
- Follow all communication and technology-use policies
- Comply with non-discrimination and anti-harassment standards
- Demonstrate strengths-based social-emotional leadership
- Maintain an appropriate and professional online presence
Professional Boundaries with Students
Employees must not:
- Communicate with students via personal social media accounts
- Use personal devices for student communication
- Engage in private or unsupervised video calls
- Engage in inappropriate physical contact (hybrid settings)
- Use sexual, demeaning, or unsafe language or humor
- Meet students outside official school activities
- Provide rides, gifts, or money to students
- Share personal or intimate information
Required boundaries include:
- Use of professional school email only
- Use of school-approved communication platforms
- Conducting all virtual communication within supervised systems
