TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
1. Technology Requirements
1.1 Approved Technology and Software Use
The School shall maintain a list of approved digital platforms, applications, and systems for instructional and operational use.
- Students and staff may access only School-approved software and platforms.
- The installation of unauthorized applications, VPNs, bypass tools, or modification of system settings is prohibited.
- School-issued accounts may be used solely for school-related purposes.
- Violations may result in suspension or revocation of access privileges.
1.2 Data Storage, Encryption, and Cloud Security
All digital data containing student, staff, or financial information shall be protected through industry-standard security practices.
- Data must be stored only in School-approved cloud environments.
- Encryption is required for data at rest and in transit.
- Storage of student data on personal devices or external drives is prohibited.
- Password-protected access and routine system backups are required.
1.3 Account Management and Authentication
- User access shall be assigned based on role or grade level following least-privilege principles.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is mandatory for all staff and administrators.
- Students must create strong passwords, refrain from sharing credentials, and update passwords every 90 days.
- User accounts shall be deactivated immediately upon student withdrawal or staff separation.
- Access audits shall be conducted quarterly.
1.4 Monitoring and Filtering
The School utilizes monitoring and filtering tools to ensure safe and appropriate use of technology.
- Monitoring may include browsing activity, application usage, screen content, and automated safety alerts.
- Parents and guardians shall be notified of monitoring practices upon enrollment.
